Hello, the HEDON Heroine Racer helmets fits rather tight. L and XL have the same shell size. We do not know the given reference of HJC, but from your head measurement (it should be your own measurement, do not trust the information you will find on (any) helmet), you can try L with Hedon first. If it is tight in the beginning, it is ok and will become more comfortable over time. But we can also exchange into XL if needed. Or I would like to suggest to order both sizes in order to compare at home and return the size that does less fit. Kind regards, Daniel / 24Helmets.de
