We can look back on an eventful 2023. New brands, new designs and brand-new items have found their way into our shop or warehouse and the 24Helmets.de team has also grown. The ECE 22.06 test standard for motorcycle helmets was introduced and has caused confusion for some. This year, the U5 motorway construction site on our doorstep also presented us with some challenges. In addition to the usual power cuts, construction noise and dust, there was also a lot of water to deal with. We particularly like to look back on the events with which we would like to say "thank you".
2023
As 24Helmets.de, it is our absolute priority to always provide our customers and friends with new brands, helmet models, designs, motorcycle clothing and fashion. This year we have new bradnds like HJC, BY CITY, SCORPION EXO, MARIA RIDING COMPANY, EUDOXIE and OAKLEY. MOONEYES and IMPACTEC are back with us.
A particular highlight for us was the return of the BILTWELL Gringo and Gringo S, for which we had been waiting for more than two years. The BILTWELL Gringo SV is the latest model to join our shop. The 3 models have already been tested in accordance with the new ECE 22.06 helmet standard. New helmet models from SHOEI: Hornet, Neotec 3, NXR 3 and from ARAI the Tour-X4 & 5 and Concept-XE. The HEDON Heroine Racer has been revised and is now available as the Heroine Racer 2.0.
Speaking of the new ECE 22.06 helmet standard: the new test standard has caused a great deal of confusion and, above all, misinformation among some people. Let's get this straight: Motorcycle helmets with the former ECE 22.05 test standard may of course still be sold by dealers and ridden by motorcyclists! Only helmet manufacturers are no longer allowed to produce motorbike helmets to the old standard since June 2023. So don't worry if you want to buy a reduced helmet from us that still has the old ECE 22.05 test standard. If you have any questions on the subject, please do not hesitate to contact us.
In February, our team was expanded to include Marcel, who heads up the dispatch department. He makes sure that your items are always well packed and are on their way to you as quickly as possible. Dörte also joined our 24Helmets.de team as store manager in March. She is in charge of the shop area and can usually be found there! Last but not least, the online area was also expanded in September by our dual student Max. He has settled in very quickly and you may have already had him on the phone. He is happy to deal with your concerns.
Probably the most exciting experience happened on 5 August, when a water pipe was hit during construction work on the U5 and a "pool" formed in our basement warehouse within a very short space of time. This water damage claimed many "victims". The hardest hit were our BILTWELL Bonanza jet helmets. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the great encouragement, kind words and help offered! In the meantime, the cellar is dry again and the workmen are already putting new wallpaper and paint on the walls so that we can store many new items for you in the newly renovated cellar warehouse in 2024.
What will they be, you ask? We can't reveal everything yet, but this much we can say: you can look forward to brand new brands with lots of new products! Teaser - One of our long-standing brands will be launching a motorbike helmet - the first for them!
At the start of the season, we were delighted that so many customers and friends turned up to our "Open House Event" and that it turned out to be such a great evening. In May, we revived our WTF series with great success. Oli from SHOEI was there and presented us with lots of interesting information about the SHOEI brand, helmet production and new helmet models.
To round off the year, we wanted to say thank you with our Christmas event! We took the opportunity to present our new tent and the new 24Helmets.de flags in front of our Hamburg shop.
For 2024 we want to make our presence even more attractive and therefore our online shop will move: 24Helmets.de will be even better! WTF will continue and you can look forward to more events.
