Klarna – the PayPal competition from Sweden

Klarna entered the market in 2005 and after a rough start the three founders can look back today on building one of the most influential fintech companies. The concept is easy, Klarna does management by buying the store's claims and billing the customer.

Paying with Klarna always means: the customer doesn't directly pay the store, but rather Klarna itself and only Klarna. In the next segment we show you the individual payment options and functions of Klarna.

However, you can still decide the exact date when payment is due making it a clear advantage for customers. Klarna pays for you and you pay Klarna back.

You can pay your open invoices with Klarna in instalments. For these instalments Klarna does a solvency and identity audit, to ensure your liquidity.
