The MEINDL "North West 200" motorcycle jacket is made of kangaroo leather. This is considered very tear-resistant and can be processed thinner and lighter than cowhide while maintaining equal stability. With an average thickness of 1 millimeter, however, it is almost twice as resistant to cowhide (1.2-1.4 mm), absorbs only half as much water and is 50 percent more tear-resistant.
