Limited Edition DEUS EX MACHINA Motorcycle Helmets

Founded in Australia in 2006, the DEUS EX MACHINA brand skillfully combines influences from surf, skate and custom bike culture. The result is cool clothing that is extremely popular in the motorcycle scene. This year, DEUS EX MACHINA is letting it rip and starts the year 2023 with a brand new Retro Cross Helmet in limited quantities. This new helmet radiates pure coolness without overdoing it in design.

Information about the helmet features

Good ventilation is especially important in a cross helmet. As a rule, the helmet is not used on the street, but for sporty motocross, which is a very sweaty activity. In the DEUS EX MACHINA cross helmet, three diagonal vents on each side of the chin section and the large viewing opening provide sufficient ventilation while riding.

As befits a proper cross helmet, this retro cross helmet also has an extended chin section that is raised at the front. This keeps the roughest dirt from the road or track away from the lower face area. To also protect the eyes from annoying dirt, it is a good idea to wear the helmet with optionally available cross goggles. The goggles can be conveniently attached with the integrated goggle clip on the back of the helmet.

Helmet visors, especially in the cross range, protect the eyes from glare from the sun. However, the visor does not only have to fulfil this purpose, it is also ideal for visually enhancing and personalizing a helmet. A removable visor is included with the DEUS EX MACHINA motorcycle helmet. This can be easily attached or replaced using three adjustable press-studs. As with its predecessor, the DEUS EX MACHINA Django, the new cross helmet also has a synthetic leather inner lining that can be easily replaced.

Material and helmet shell

The new DEUS EX MACHINA cross helmet consists of a fibreglass outer shell. Fibreglass helmets, also called thermoset helmets, are very stable, meet high safety requirements and are extremely resistant to aging. In order to achieve the correct fit as accurately as possible, the helmet has three outer shell sizes. If the shell sizes differ, two sizes usually share one helmet shell. Depending on the size, thicker or thinner linings are then used. In the end, the helmet fits best the more outer shells it has. Of course, the look also plays a role.

The designs - Loop D, Checkers and Stripes

When designing the helmets, DEUS EX MACHINA relies on classic colour schemes and vintage-inspired graphics. The helmets themselves are all based on iconic retro designs from the history of motorcycle racing. These helmets are the perfect match for any cool MX bike, custom bike or whatever you ride!

Tested according to ECE and DOT

The ECE standard (Economic Commission Europe) should be familiar to all motorcyclists in Germany. ECE stands for a European regulation according to which motorcycle helmets must be manufactured in Europe. The tests include the field of vision of the motorcycle helmet, the durability of the helmet shell and the chin strap. In addition, the shock absorption is tested at special points (according to ECE 22.05). A sewn-in label in the inner lining or on the chin strap shows whether the helmet has been tested according to ECE. Helmets tested according to DOT are approved in the USA and may also be used in Germany. However, you should be careful when "crossing" national borders, because other standards apply in other European countries, mostly ECE. With the DEUS EX MACHINA cross helmet, however, you don't need to worry, because it has both standards, ECE and DOT.
